The Philipstown Depot Theatre is located at the Garrison Landing, in Garrison, New York.  Operated by the Philipstown Recreation Department and the Philipstown Performing Art Corporation, the Depot theatre offers a variety of community performing arts oppertunities including stage productions, youth and adult classes, music tracks and more.  For more information, please visit www.philipstowndepottheatre.org.

OUTRAGEOUS STORIES FROM THE STAGE
August 2 - 13
A folktale from Spain about the extraordinary adventures of a lazy girl sent to mend her father’s fishing nets, a mixed up tale from Africa including Fur and Feathers, and a Spanish tale about a prince and a lion who need to be freed from evil enchantment.  Participants will have fun creating their own roles, costumes and simple scenery. Dress rehearsals will be at the Depot Theatre on August 11, 12 & 13.  Performances at the theatre at 12noon August 12, and August 13.  There is a maximum number of 16 participants.  Participants can join Summer Fun for an additional $70 per week.

BUGSY MALONE, JR.
June 28 - July 23
A spoof on gangster movies, rival mobs connect at Fat Sam’s club where splurge guns shoot whipped cream.  Wanna be singers and dancers audition for cabaret spots, and perform 20’s style song and dance numbers amidst the story of mobsters finding the good in the bad. Lots of great parts, songs, dances and tongue in cheek fun!  Additional Instructors include:  Zosia Kruk, Madison Hoyos, Liz Richter,  Production Coordinators: Jenn Levy and Jeffrey Rizzi, Costumes: Charlotte Lane, and Musical Director: Paul Heckert.  Performances will be held July 22 at 7pm, July 23 at 4pm and 7pm, July 24 at 4pm and 7pm and July 25 at 2pm.  There is no class July 5.  There is a maximum number of 30 participants in this production.

THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE
June 28 - July 29
Set in New York, in the 1920’s, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a high-spirited musical romp that has all of New York dancing the Charleston. It’s the story of young Millie Dillmount who has just moved to the city in search of a new life for herself. She hopes to find work as a stenographer, marry her boss and be thoroughly modern by marrying for money instead of love. A paper clip salesman, a low life hotel owner, kidnapping, henchmen, and other madcap events thwart her plan.  Assistant Director is Jeffrey Rizzi.  Auditions will be June 12 and June 26 from 12:00-2:00pm at the Depot Theatre.  Performances will be held July 29 at 7pm, July 30 at 7pm, and July 31 at 4pm and 7pm.  There is a maximum of 25 participants in this production.
